How the audit works
- Hours. Each role has a list of tasks, each graded for the share AI can take on today. Hours a year per person are 2,000 working hours times each task's share of the job times that grade.
- Cost. A salary divided by 2,000 hours gives an hourly cost. Without a salary, Eurostat's mean earnings for the occupation group in your country are used, or the US median wage for the occupation.
- Priorities. Tasks are ranked by hours across the whole team, then split into three phases: work AI already does well, work that repeats and connects to your systems, and work an agent can run end to end.
Read the full method on the methodology page. The same grading drives the AI exposure pages for 938 occupations.
Questions
Is the team AI audit free?
Yes. The hours, their cost, the split by exposure band and the five tasks to automate first are free and run in your browser. The top 15 tasks, the 90-day plan and the PDF need a work email and a few details.
Where do the hours come from?
Every role is graded task by task: the share of each task AI can take on today, weighted by how much of the working year the task takes. The average role has about 640 of its 2,000 yearly hours in work AI can take on.
Are these savings I can bank?
No. They are a ceiling on what AI can take on, not a forecast. A person still reviews the output, and the work has to be set up. The call turns the list into a plan for the tasks that pay back first.
Which wages does it use?
Malta and the EU average use Eurostat mean earnings by occupation group, 2022. The United States uses the median wage for the occupation. The United Kingdom uses the EU average. You can enter a salary for any role.
Is my team data stored?
The audit runs in your browser. If you ask for the full audit, we store the roles, headcount and totals with your details so we can follow up, and keep them for as long as the privacy policy says.
